Thursday so far

Today has been a nice day. I went to two sessions this morning that were quite interesting. One was on working with volunteers and the other was about attracting young adults to your site. Both speakers were seasoned professionals who had great ideas. I look forward to returning and sharing them with the Fort Nisqually Staff.
We had a nice lunch today along with a business meeting. More sessions this afternoon and then a banquet this evening.
Last night was very pleasant as well, after dinner we were able to play on some fun equipment, the competition at the obstacle course was a bit rough, what a competitive crowd I am with! After the activities they had a beautiful fireworks display and we had an interesting van ride back to the hotel. Read the other blogs to find out more on last nights happenings.
Talk to you later...

Thursday has been fine. However, my sinuses are killing me with the high wind and all the dust in the air. Dessert life!

More info on Aquatic facility trends... a statistically valid survey with up to 3,000 pools may inform us that some of our research for the new pool facility is incorrect. A recreation only pool (indoor or outdoor) recovers costs at a higher rate than a combination pool facility with rec and comp. Of course, competitive only remains on the low end, and quite a bit lower. This will be a topic that I will be following up on.
